In the few short months that Pastor Bruce has been at the helm, he has
decisively forged forward with the vision the Lord has laid upon his heart.
The current Church theme is “Restoration, Restructure and Deliverance.”

Under his leadership, “The Spiritual Growth and Personal Development Institute” has been created. The vision of The Institute is to Enlist, Equip and Empower people to fulfill the Great Commission through the Five-Fold Ministry:

Worship – living every moment glorifying God and exalting our Savior
Evangelism – bringing people to Christ
Fellowship – deeply connecting with other Christians
Discipleship – becoming more Christ like
Ministry – equipping individuals for service.

Pastor Bruce is led to either establish or enhance the following ministries:

Family Ministry – developing maximum family spiritual health
Children Ministries – training through Biblical ABCs, Puppet Ministry, Drama, Dance, sign language
Developmental Ministry – recruit young adults with academic inadequacies & provide vocational training through craftsmen both active and retired
Golden Age Ministry – aid the elderly in proper nutrition, exercise; adopt a grandparent, housing, Bible study, etc.
Fishers of Men Ministry – evangelism and disciple making.

Pastor Bruce confessed faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and was baptized at the ago of 8. He was reared in a strong Baptist family with more than 28 preachers in the family. He was anointed by God to preach the Gospel at age 11, however, he didn’t’ acknowledge his calling formally until age 22. He is a fifth generation preacher. Pastor Bruce was licensed to preach February 1981 and ordained April 1983.

Pastor Bruce graduated Historic Central High School, Little Rock, AR; Compton Community College, Los Angeles, CA; University of Arkansas in Little Rock, AR; Christian Bible College, Kansas City, MO; St. Stephens Bible College, Los Angeles, CA and Andersonville Baptist Theological Seminary, Camilla, GA. He received his Doctorate from Andersonville Baptist Seminary and is currently working on a second at Southwest Theological Seminary.

Pastor Bruce is married to the former Janie Kaye Brown. From this blessed union came Shawn, Carey, Farrah and Jennifer, all adults living away from home.
